About Me

Hi! Welcome to Kristi’s Book Cellar.

Kristi’s Book Cellar started in 2012 in the stands of my son’s Little League practices and games. I quickly made friends with one of the other moms who was also an avid romance reader like myself. We began buddy-reading romance novels. I was thrilled to have someone to talk to who shared my love of reading and romance, and in the search for our next read, I fell into the indie romance community and found myself at home.

I first hit publish on the KBC website and on social media in April 2014. I wanted to spread the word about the wonderful authors and their books that I was reading. But it was more than that. I found a community of fellow readers, bloggers, and the authors of these stories I was falling in love with.

The opportunities I found in our book world took me in a different direction, and Kristi’s Book Cellar went on hiatus for a while. It was bittersweet when I shifted from a book blogger to a publicist helping romance authors fulfill their dreams. In the years that followed the initial launch of KBC, I have worked with romance authors in marketing and promotion and offered proofreading and copyediting services.

My other passion in life is wine—hence the “Cellar” part of KBC. I live in Virginia’s wine country, a place of beauty and a rising star in the global viniculture landscape. My day job is Wine Club Manager at a local winery. It seems like a massive departure from our book world, but a glass of wine and a good book are a perfect pair. Plus, I’ve got a lot of our staff and some of our customers reading the same books right now.

Though this new incarnation of KBC is under construction, my primary focus is to return to the literary romance community in all its expressions and to offer copyediting and proofreading services. Maybe I’ll share some wine-related content. We’ll see what the road ahead has in store.
